Christmas Card Challenge #32 - Stockings

It's time for another Christmas Card Challenge! Challenge #32 is about using "stocking/s" on the card. Of course the first thing you think of using is a stamp, a die, or designer paper with stockings on it. But how to make it a little different than your first thought, is the question. So I thought of using the negative die cut to create the shape of the stockings on my card.

The stocking dies are My Favorite Things Die-Namics "Stocking Trio". And, the stamp is from Woodware Craft Collection "Heartfelt Christmas Wish".

In the next photo you can perhaps see better the space between the striped paper and the white stocking negative front.

To bring the vertical stripe effect to balance the left side with the right, I added a little gold organza ribbon tied into a knot. All in all, a very easy card to make. Hope you'll join us at the Christmas Card Challenge this week, and remember if you aren't in the mood for creating a "stocking" card you can still participate in the challenge and make any Christmas card you'd like. Check out the other DT cards for this weeks challenge, too.
